The Artist - Amelia Elbert

My interest in fashion and art began at an early age and quickly grew into a passion.
During my high school
years, I studied fashion production at a local technical school and then went on to attend Northeastern State University to
earn a Bachelors’ Degree in Vocational Home Economics Education. After several years of teaching,
I redirected my career toward fashion design and art. I soon found a way to combine my love of horses
and career by founding
Amelia’s Show Apparel in 1995.
While operating a very successful horse
show apparel company, I decided once again to expand my creative arms in the area of fashion and art by founding Amelia’s Designs in 2007. I take great
pride in my “one of a kind” art pieces inspired by my appreciation for Native American heritage and cowboy culture
of the old west.
Behind every one of my creations are fond memories of childhood years spent in Colorado and
recent years spent with my husband in Oklahoma. I can’t forget to mention the great horses, cats,
and dogs with which I share my life. Without all of them, none of this would be worth it.
